ELIZABETH TABER LIBRARY

Dodson & Flinker collaborated with Turowski2 Architecture on a partial renovation and landscape design for Marion, MA’s historic Elizabeth Taber Library. Renovation to the 19th-century building included universal design features such as an ADA-accessible door and access ramp, as well as a new entry plaza and garden spaces. Dodson & Flinker’s design included custom stonework, seating, and a cottage garden with native and ornamental trees, shrubs, and perennials. The project was a collaboration between the Town, the Public Library, and the family of Peggy Repass, a former librarian and longtime library devotee. The Repass family funded the project and were involved in the design and construction process, including selecting titles of children’s books featured in the stonework.
