GROTON MASTERPLAN

Dodson & Flinker assisted the town of Groton, Massachusetts with its masterplanning process. In order to build a foundation for land use decisions that will help Groton sustain the resources valued by local residents, our work on the masterplan followed a process of inventory mapping and assessment for four key local resources: ecological resources and biodiversity, water resources, agriculture, and recreation.  In each case, the mapping process was designed not just to identify the location of these resources on the land, but to help residents understand their underlying functions and interconnections.
