Mikal Malkovich

Associate Designer

Working at the intersection of architecture, landscape design and planning, Mikal balances the broad range of factors that shape the built environment. From the minutiae of architectural and landscape details to the implications of site and regional planning, he strives to enhance ecological and social resilience through the design of communal spaces at many scales. His physical models and graphic visualizations are vital tools for client and community engagement, bringing proposed projects to life before they are built.

Mikal holds Master of Architecture and Master of Landscape Architecture degrees from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Analysis, with a focus on sustainable design, from Pitzer College. He previously worked for Bonham & Douglas Architects in Northampton and managed operations and exhibition design at a non-profit art center in San Francisco.
