The Town of Southampton hired Dodson & Flinker and PVPC to create a plan for 45 acres of land recently acquired by the Town. The proposed plan sites a public safety complex, senior center, commercial space, 45 affordable townhouses, and a trailhead for a rail trail. The arrangement of buildings, roads, parking and open spaces carefully balances public and private spaces, while maximizing the efficiency of infrastructure, preserving a forest buffer to the Manhan River, creating a walkable neighborhood, and enabling the plan to be implemented in phases by different public and private entities.
