Stony Brook Boardwalk
Dodson & Flinker was part of a team working with the town of Brewster, the NOAA restoration Center, the Office of Coastal Zone Management and other partners to prepare public access plans for the Stony Brook Wildlife Refuge on Cape Cod. Our responsibilities included visiting the site and assessing possibilities for creating a low-impact walking trail and boardwalk system that ensures protection for the sensitive marsh ecosystem while maximizing potential for visitor education and interpretive experience. After carefully assessing the capabilities of the site, Dodson & Flinker prepared three conceptual site plan options for review by the client. These were then translated into perspective sketch renderings to communicate the appearance and experience of the three alternatives to the clients, permitting
authorities and member of the general public.
