Jennifer Masters Joins the Dodson & Flinker Team

Jennifer graduated in 2012 with a Master's degree in landscape architecture from the University of Massachusetts.  While at UMass, Jennifer's research focused on the intersection of theory and practice in the design of contemporary urban open space, based on interviews she conducted with award-winining designers nationwide. Her work was published in the conference proceedings of the 2013 annual conference of the Environmental Design Research Association, where she was also an invited presenter.  As a graduate student, Jennifer was the recipient of an ASLA Merit Award and multiple faculty awards for design and scholarship.  She is a guest lecturer and critic at UMass for graduate and undergraduate landscape architecture students, and a regular contributor to Landscape Architecture Magazine.

Prior to studying landscape architecture, Jennifer had a career as an educator and development officer in which she played key roles in the implementation of major initiatives, including a nationwide literacy program and a capital campaign for a leading pediatric teaching hospital.  She holds a Master's degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's from the University of Virginia.
